Thank you for visiting my little corner of the internet dedicated to my proofreading business! I have always had a love for reading, and more specifically, proofreading. I've had books in my hand since I was old enough to read on my own! My family understood my love of books and always gifted me the books on my list for holidays and my birthday! For as long as I remember, I was always the person that found the mistakes in the books, or corrected the e-mails, text messages, and papers for other people. This is why I decided to become a proofreader! I have a passion that I want to share.
Proofreading isn't my only love in life. After 15 years of being a hobbyist photographer, I decided to start my business at the end of 2020!

I graduated from Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Psychology in 2018. I then graduated from Gannon University, again, in 2022 with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Though I love being a professional counselor, it wasn't what brought joy to my life. Photography and proofreading bring the joy to my life that was missing for years!
I have done proofreading in a number of jobs in a different capacity. At my previous job, I was the Clinical Director of an at-risk youth facility. My previous job required me to write court reports for many of the youth at the facility, proofread the court reports that other counselors wrote, and testify in court. Before becoming the Clinical Director, I was a therapist on a behavioral health unit for three years where I also proofread many documents, including notes for other therapists, policies and manuals, and many others.
I am a graduate of Proofread Anywhere. I completed an extensive course, Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice, based on the National Court Reporters Association guidelines, as well as Margie Wakeman Wells' Court Reporting: Bad Grammar / Good Punctuation, and Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters. I use these references, as well as the Gregg Refernce Manual (10th Edition) and Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. I am also a graduate of Proofread Anywhere's general proofreading course, General Proofreading: Theory and Practice.
I am extremely organized, research-oriented, reliable, and have an excellent eye for detail! If you're a busy writer looking to take back your evenings, let me proofread for you! As a valued member of your team, I will clean up your manuscript and return it to you, ready for your final corrections!
